Borinquen Medical Center offers an outpatient substance abuse program called STOPP-E.  They are committed to helping out those struggling with alcohol or drug abuse take their first steps toward recovery.  They have experienced counselors that offer services such as:

Outreach
Individual substance abuse counseling
Group counseling
Early recovery skills
Relapse prevention
Family education
Prevention and risk reduction education and counseling
HIV and Hepatitis testing and counseling
Linkage to residential treatment facilities
Access to psychiatric services and specialty medical services (if needed)
Additional community support services such as housing and employment assistance

Their goal is to provide evidence abuse counseling, reduce substance use, and make a lasting positive impact on those who they serve.

Treatment: substance abuse – Intake to this program is held every Monday (except on holidays) beginning at 6:00 AM at the FPL Power to Care Building Lobby located at 1603 NW 7th Avenue, Miami. Admission into the program is based on availability and is on a first come, first serve basis.
