Miami-Dade is home to many public health, education, and other social welfare programs and organizations. ACTS is building a comprehensive and searchable electronic directory that will encompass these and encourage Miami’s healthcare providers to administer holistic care. We want this to be far-reaching and of use to providers and Miami’s residents. Current categories include, career assistance, education assistance, women’s health, HIV/AIDS, homeless shelters, mental health counseling, family planning, LGBTQ+, primary care, research studies, sexual assault services, substance abuse rehabilitation, and youth empowerment. We are researching and verifying resources to organize that will be ideally searchable by category, tag, zip code and have a Google Maps feature.
