Our Special Adolescent Clinic offers primary HIV health care for young adults up until the age of 24, but we ensure that our clients experience the smoothest transition possible into adult care. We begin by introducing our clients to the idea of adult care years before their transition and provide them with an exhaustive list of options of providers in the community. One of those options is Dr. Powell, a physician right next door at Jackson Memorial Hospital. If a client chooses to continue care with Dr. Powell, she will sit in on appointments while the client is still in young adult care. She also hosts a special transition clinic, which is personalized for our clients.
